Waluhili Work Day
Come to camp and do some spring cleaning! Clubs and families are needed to open the cabins, sweep them out, wash the windows, and in general, spruce things up. Older youth can paint or help with other projects.

Where: Camp Waluhili / Chouteau, OK
What To Do: Contact Vicki or LaVon in the Camp Fire Office (592-2267) if you want to help and they will help you make your plans.

Up With Trees
Does your school, neighborhood park or community center need a few more trees? Up With Trees plants, preserves, and promotes Tulsa's urban forest by inviting group to plant and care for young trees.
Up With Trees Invites your club to plant a tree or two on their Free Tree Pick-Up Day.
When: April 17 / 12:00 noon
Where: 1300 S. Elwood
What To Do: First, visit this website: http://www.upwithtrees.org/regreen-tulsa/free-trees-for-non-profit-faith-based-groups/. Learn how to APPLY for free trees, complete the application, then pick them up and plant them on this day. (NOTE: You mus plan ahead, make application to Up With Trees and be approved for this project.)
Operation Clean Sweep Event
Join your neighbors and friends in keeping Tulsa beautiful! The City of Tulsa will host Operation Clean Sweet in four area parks, or you can clean up your school grounds, local businesses, or a neighborhood park instead. The City invites you to pick up litter and debris at one of the designated Operation Clean Sweet site (to be announced) or in your own neighborhood.
When: April 17 / set your own schedule
Where: Your neighborhood or one of four local parks

Broken Arrow Trash Bash
It's Spring Trash Bash time, so join your neighbors and friends in keeping Broken Arrow beautiful! The Broken Arrow Beautification Committee will host Broken Arrow Trash Bash on April 17 and all you have to do is show up. It's a contest! you will be assigned a mile-long area where you will pick up trash and the largest clean-up crew gets a prize! Everything you need will be provided and free refreshments are available, too.

Household Pollutant Collection Event
Did you know that you and your neighbors may have hazardous materials hiding under your kitchen sink or in your garage? It's important to dipose of used or leftover household cleaners, fertilizer, flourescent light bulbs, and other such items properly.
The Met invites you to gather up and dispose of household pollutants at its Fairgrounds Pollutant Collection Event.
When: April 17-18 / 10:00am-3:00pm
Where: Tulsa Fairgrounds-Gate 7 (15th Street)
What To Do: First, visit the Met website: http://www.metrecycle.com/recycling/disposing-of-household-pollutants/. Learn how to handle and transport hazardous materials properly. then collect them from your relatives, neighbors and friends, and take them to the fairgrounds for proper disposal.
