Other BOW Programs

In addition to the annual Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Workshop in October, Oklahoma offers many other opportunities for women to enjoy outdoor activities, to network with other women, and to practice outdoor skills they might have learned at BOW. While these programs are primarily offered to women who have attended a BOW workshop, they are open to all women with an interest in the outdoors.

BOW Encampments are basic campouts held at different state parks and locations around the state.  Their purpose is to provide an opportunity for women to network and have fun in a relaxed atmosphere.  Highlights are hiking, fishing, boating, hanging out by the campfire, cooking and sharing meals and enjoying whatever the location has to offer.

Beyond BOW's are one-day or weekend activities that focus on one specific topic such as sailing or caving. Groups will usually campout like at BOW Encampments, but the main activity will be specifically related to hunting, fishing or outdoor recreation.

BOW Moments are just that - a short, fun activity for part of a day, generally done for those in the immediate area surrounding the location such as rappelling, boating, etc.
