February 28 - LIT Training

March 27-29 -Caving Trip 

April 17-18- Starflight and Adventure Campout

LIT Training (Leader-In-Training)

LIT Training is a leadership program designed to perpare youth to work in various roles at Camp Fire USA events and day camps.  Workshop topics include characteristics of and working with children, creative programming, outdoor skill practice, risk management and safety, plus a lot more to prepare youth to actively work with children of all ages. 

The LIT program is a great lead-in to the CIT (Counselor-in-Training) program for older youth wanting to become summer camp counselors.

First Year LIT (must be currently in 7th grade or above)

Returning LIT's (must be currently in 8th grade or above)

Deadline to register is February 15, 2009.  The training is held February 28th.

Cost:  $18 per person or $15 for Camp Fire Fair Share Sellers. (Includes all materials and lunch).   Adult fee:  $3 (lunch)

Check-in between 8:30 and 8:45 am on Saturday, February 28th at Camp Okiwanee just outside Sapulpa.  Departure time is 5:00 pm.  For more information and to reserve your spot, contact vproctor@tulsacampfire.org or click here for the registration form.

Starflight/Adventure Campout

This is a campout at Camp Waluhili designed specifically for youth in grades K-5. Information will be available by January 2009.

Bring the following to camping events:

Tents for all attending in your group (unless other arrangements have been made)

Bedding

Extra clothing and coats

Personal items ie toothbrush, etc

Flashlights with extra batteries

Cups, plates and silverware for each person

Rain gear

Pens/pencils

Money for trading post items (optional)

Munchies (optional -snacks will be provided)

Pocket knives (optional)

Chairs (optional)
