Summer Camp Staff Positions

Camp Fire Green Country is looking for fun and energetic people who are excited about working to provide a life-changing summer for the leaders of the future. Camp Waluhili is a residential camp located in Eastern Oklahoma on 220 acres on Ft Gibson Lake. We focus our campers’ experiences on building friendships and leadership skills, self-confidence, an appreciation for the outdoors, and an awareness of community responsibility – all in an inclusive environment. Camp staff achieve this by promoting active learning within small groups while progressively challenging campers as they grow older and gain experience. Current COVID-19 Status

During this past year of heightened risk from the COVID-19 virus, Camp Fire Green Country took extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff and the youth we serve. Currently, all positions are in a work from home status. Programs for youth are being delivered remotely through either distance or virtual capacities. Staff are only visiting the Camp Fire office for brief periods of time, as needed to pick up supplies, access equipment, etc. and are required to complete health screenings prior to entry as well as adhering to mandatory face mask, social distancing, and other safety protocols. Every staff member has been provided with the appropriate technology and equipment to be able to work from home.

As Oklahoma has entered phase IV of vaccine distribution, and now all residents over the age of 16 are eligible to receive it, we have advised all of our staff of the availability of the vaccine and encourage each team member to help protect themselves and others by becoming vaccinated. We provide time off to receive the vaccine. Given that all of our staff are now able to be vaccinated, we are working on a plan of returning to the workplace, beginning May 1. It is our intention that all staff will be fully transitioned back into the workplace by August 1, so that we may begin our new program year resuming face-to-face program delivery to youth.
