Camp Fire Green Country Employment Opportunities

 

AmeriCorps Member (Full-Time) - (click for job description)

Camp Fire Green Country (CFGC) is seeking candidates for several full-time AmeriCorps member positions for our 2021-2022 service year.  AmeriCorps members with CFGC deliver high-quality, developmental programming to youth in kindergarten through 12th grade, and work collaboratively with fellow program staff to ensure the effectiveness of Camp Fire opportunities for youth, in partnership with schools and other community agencies. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, serving, and retaining youth and families; planning, conducting, and evaluating direct-service program delivery through in and out-of-school time clubs; designing and carrying out events and other program opportunities such as camping and outdoor experiences, field trips, and school break day camps. This part-time AmeriCorps member earns a living allowance of $21,675 during their term of service and an education award of approximately $6,345 upon completion of 1,700 hours of service which can be used for higher education expenses including student loans.

This part-time AmeriCorps member earns a living allowance of $10,350 during their term of service and an education award of approximately $3,172.50 upon completion of 900 hours of service which can be used for higher education expenses including student loans.

Diversity & Inclusion Program Manager– (click for job description)

Camp Fire Green Country (CFGC) is seeking candidates for a Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Program Manager. The D&I Program Manager provides high-quality, developmental CFGC programming to youth, primarily in middle and high school. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of CFGC programs for marginalized and underserved populations, including LGBTQ+ youth, as well as other targeted groups – in partnership with schools and other community agencies. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, serving, and retaining youth, families, volunteers, and AmeriCorps members; planning, conducting, and evaluating direct-service program delivery through in and out-of-school time clubs; designing and carrying out events and other program opportunities such as camping and outdoor experiences, field trips, and school break day camps. This position represents CFGC as a member of the management team to all stakeholders including the Board of Directors, community partners, and funders.

We are eager to find the right candidate who has a demonstrated history of adaptability and innovation, who can meet all of the normal requirements of the job such as quickly onboarding, maintaining our momentum, and is committed to helping the organization in meeting multi-year strategic goals, in addition to supporting a thriving and dynamic approach to the current challenges of in-person, hybrid, and distance/virtual program delivery. Starting salary for the position is $35,568.

Development Manager– (click for job description)

Camp Fire Green Country (CFGC) is seeking candidates for a Development Manager. The Development Manager is a key member of the development team assisting the Executive Director in the creation and implementation of strategies for cultivating, stewarding, and securing resources for Camp Fire Green Country (CFGC). They are also responsible for supporting all fundraising, marketing, and grant programs; tracking donor information and managing donor database; and maintaining Camp Fire brand and messaging. This position represents CFGC as a member of the management team to all stakeholders including the Board of Directors, community partners, and funders.

We are eager to find the right candidate who has a demonstrated history of adaptability and innovation, who can meet all of the normal requirements of the job such as quickly onboarding, maintaining our momentum, and is committed to helping the organization in meeting multi-year strategic goals. The salary range for the position is $37,000 - $45,000.

Summer Camp Staff Positions

Camp Fire Green Country is looking for fun and energetic people who are excited about working to provide a life-changing summer for the leaders of the future. Camp Waluhili is a residential camp located in Eastern Oklahoma on 220 acres on Ft Gibson Lake. We focus our campers’ experiences on building friendships and leadership skills, self-confidence, an appreciation for the outdoors, and an awareness of community responsibility – all in an inclusive environment. Camp staff achieve this by promoting active learning within small groups while progressively challenging campers as they grow older and gain experience. Current COVID-19 Status

During this past year of heightened risk from the COVID-19 virus, Camp Fire Green Country took extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff and the youth we serve. As Oklahoma entered phase IV of vaccine distribution, and now all residents over the age of 16 are eligible to receive it, we have advised all of our staff of the availability of the vaccine and encourage each team member to help protect themselves and others by becoming vaccinated. We provide time off to receive the vaccine. Given that all of our staff are now able to be vaccinated, we are working on a plan of returning to the workplace, beginning May 1. It is our intention that all staff will be fully transitioned back into the workplace by fall.
